Fu Jen Catholic University Sustainability Development Policy Declaration
Passed during the 7th administrative meeting of the 112th academic year on April 11, 2024.
- Our university, in line with the encyclical Laudato Si’ and the UN SDGs for future education philosophy, recognizes the importance of sustainable development and aligns with the government’s action plan for 2050 net-zero transition. The university aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and has established five key development directions to embed sustainability principles within the campus, fostering students with the ability, skills, knowledge, and mindset for sustainable development to bring back Fu Jen's legacy.
- The university plans its campus sustainability policy and goals based on the five development directions of G.R.A.C.E., as follows:
- G:Global Positioning
- R:Reinforce Domestic Student Recruitment and Channels
- A:Activate International Partnerships
- C:Collaborate and Integrate with Hospital Academic Government Community and Industry
- E:Entrepreneurial and Philanthropic Engagement
- Through the promotion of the G.R.A.C.E. policy, we will continue to implement sustainable campus operations.
Fu Jen Catholic University commits to reducing carbon emissions by 50% and achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2030, becoming Taiwan's first carbon-neutral ecological university campus.
